Goodie Two Shoes Foundation
Nikki Berti, cofounder of the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, serves as a passionate advocate in her quest to ensure that no child misses physical education classes or school altogether due to something as simple as not having a properly fitting pair of shoes. The shoes represent more than something to walk in for these kids; they represent opportunity and empowerment of choice.
About the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation
The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation (GTSF) provides disadvantaged children and children in crisis with new shoes and socks, as well as other items deemed essential for good health and positive development. GTSF strives to reach 10,000 Southern Nevada children in need annually and gives the children the opportunity to select any pair of shoes they want from their traveling inventory of high-quality athletic shoes. The experience boosts confidence and self-esteem, and immediately eliminates one of the most visible signs of poverty. And all of this is brought to them, on-site, at their school or referring organization, via a 48-foot mobile programming unit, which effectively serves as a shoe-store-on-wheels.
